Standardized Testing Opportunities     latest revision: FALL 2020

Home-school students in Michigan, and therefore Partnership students, are NOT required to participate in state mandated or any other form of standardized testing.  Testing is entirely optional at any point in a student's journey and it is up to the parent to seek opportunities.

Here is a compilation of testing opportunities for Home-school Partnership Students:

Fall 2020 Schedule, reply due by 08/28/20:

FALL NWEA Testing will  NOT be offered this fall due to COVID 19 restrictions and complications. I am hopeful that I will be able to offer a MID-year and END-year NWEA Testing this year. News will be sent to all families of K - 7th grade students by way of email, when the opportunity opens up.

On October 14, 2020 the  PSAT/NMSQT will be offered to all 11th Grade Home-school Partnership students. Students MUST be pre-registered to take the test.
In mid August, Becky Halcombe will send out an invitation for this opportunity to all registered 11th grade Home-school Partnership students. Your reply  by August 28, 2020 is necessary to secure a spot for your 11th grade student for that date.   It is not a required state assessment so it will not be paid for by the state.  Eleventh grade Home-school students in the Partnership may take this test if interested, but the charge is $16.

Contact Becky Halcombe by 08/28/20 if you want your student to be included in the above BSPS fall testing. Your student will be testing with other BS Public School students.          rhalcombe@homeoftheshamrocks.org

About the Test:  CLICK HERE for flyer

At Classical Conversations Testing Services, we believe that standardized testing is
an important part of preparing students for college entrance exams, whether your
state mandates testing or not. We take a very pragmatic attitude towards testing: the
test results are not as important as the skill of test-taking, though achievement tests
do provide parents with reliable data for evaluating progress in language and math
skills.
