Learning Electives provided by the Berrien Springs Virtual Academy Partnership: Fall 2023
Field Trip BONUS Experience: TWO trips per FAMILY
Field Trips are an Optional BONUS Learning Experience for Partnership students. The Partnership will pay for any Partnership student trip costs, but parents and non-partnership siblings will need to pay for any cost associated with each trip experience as listed. Since Field Trips are NOT a community resource class, they do NOT require a project. However, a trip may help prompt project inspiration for a community resource class that is on your student's schedule.
Registration for each trip will be on a first come basis and each family may choose up to TWO trips per semester.
Please email Becky Halcombe of your interest in any trip which may come up as FULL during the registration process.
A per trip list of interested families will be kept in case of cancellations. Your name will be kept on a list until availability can be determined and numbers are finalized; which often happens right up until the week of the trip.

POLICY - please read carefully:
We require that a parent or assigned adult chaperone accompany the student who is registered for each trip. This means that any accompanying adult will have to pay their own fees as well as the fees of any non children coming along who are NOT Partnership students. These fees are at reduced group rates and are posted after the description of each trip. We love for families to be able to enjoy these wonderful trips together! This is how lasting learning best happens.
Transportation is NOT provided for trips. All trips are DRIVE only with students and parents meeting Becky Halcombe at each TRIP location.
It is SCHOOL WIDE POLICY, that any adult coming along on a Field Trip must submit to a FREE background check in September. I will, as well, tell you HOW to go about this after registration. It is very simple.
Masks are optional unless required by specific location.
