Creative Design with Robert Ritzenthaler Spring 2020

Grades 3-12
Mondays 5:30 - 6:30 PM Classes begin the week of Jan. 27
OR
Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Additional registration at location is required. If a class is full, students can call for availability.
Description: Students will have access to the latest equipment and software the pros use in the world of creative design. First class will be a general over view of what the Adobe Creative Cloud is and what creative programs are available for leaning and use. Professional programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign will will be part of the learning curriculum. After the first class beginner students will be given simple activities and projects to help them start leaning the programs and equipment. More advanced student will work on more advanced projects to increase their skill level. At the end of the class, students will learn how to prepare their work for final presentation. Classes will be taught on a Mac Computer using the latest Adobe software such as photoshop, InDesign, illustrator, etc. (these are programs from the Adobe Creative Cloud suit).
Course Materials: •Owning a computer and software is not necessary but more advanced students may want to have their own computer and purchase software through adobe.com (student pricing is available).
•Software can be purchased for both a Mac or PC
• A portable hard drive to store projects past and present
Syllabus
*Please note: it is important to make as informed a decision as possible when choosing your student's Community Resource classes. Most locations will allow a student to drop a class after one meeting, at no charge if it wasn't a good fit for the student, but not all. Some classes plan ahead based on the number that have signed up and have purchased materials, hired teachers, etc. and there might be a fee for class time or materials given to the student if the student drops after one or two meetings. The school cannot pay for classes that students do not complete, so choose wisely; if you do not take the class off of your student's schedule by the deadline, you may be asked to pay for the class time incurred prior to dropping the class.
