This class will explore various art techniques and mediums through study of famous artists and also through art projects (both individual and collaborative). During each
class, students will be introduced to a famous Artist and their area of expertise, then they will be guided through an art project to exemplify their skills. Finally, they will work
as a group to imagine and create their own art project. At the end of our course, we will host an Art Show for the students and their families.
Each week’s class centers around a famous artist or Children’s Literature Book. Art techniques will be explored through individual art projects, games, and discussions. We
will produce a group art project that exhibits that specific art technique for the day. Students will have to collaborate with a partner or small group in order to produce the
project. At the end of class, students will be encouraged to share their work and admire their peers’ through a show and tell experience.
